USING BEHRINGER'S X32 IN THE THEATRE
The arrival of Behringer's x32 range of digital mixers has opened up the digital world to schools and community theatre groups at an affordable price.
While theatre sound is probably not the main market for the X32s, the features the desk has: the digital stage box and multicore system, the personal monitor mixers and the ability to control parameters from an iPad or tablet make it attractive.
There are some issues that arise when using a 'band' mixer for theatre but there are some work-arounds, software and new features that make it workable.
